October 24, 2024 The USDA Forest Service is pleased to announce nearly $34 million across three grant programs to support innovation and market development in forest products and bioenergy. You can find additional information on this website: https://www.fs.usda.gov/science-technology/energy-forest-products/wood-innovation The application period closes in December for all programs, with a due date of 11 December 2024 for Wood Innovations and 18 December 2024 for the Community Wood and Wood Products Infrastructure Assistance grants. Click here for a summary document that provides some guidance on which grant program is a better fit for which type of project. They would be pleased to help you put together a competitive application and provide feedback on broad project ideas as well as financial and other technical details. If you would like them to review your proposal at least once, please get an initial draft to them no later than 15 November 2024 as the weeks leading up to the closing dates will be very busy. The first draft does not have to be complete and having some thoughts down and broad strokes budget information will be very valuable to your application.
